Kasapreko PLC Launches Green Ghana Initiative
Kasapreko PLC has begun a strategic tree planting exercise with the Forestry Commission as part of its sustainability and stewardship agenda on the environment. The goal is to see 3,000 trees planted in a period of three years, starting with 1,000 in the Chipa Forest Reserve in Dodowa.
The contribution to the Green Ghana agenda, in collaboration with Herbal Farms & Research Institute, towards reforestation in Chipa Forest forms part of Kasapreko PLC’s fight against climate change. The first phase of this ended with 1,111 trees planted, with the target being 3,000 within succeeding years.

This initiative falls under the overall ESG strategy of KPLC. From saving lives under the One4Life project to the provision with potable water for the deprived, this project acts to elongate further the commitment of the Company in realizing the SDGs.

KPLC feels that the prime consideration is its sustainable operations and ensuring positive influence on the community where the operation is set up. By planting trees, the company believes it plants hope and nurtures environmental sensitivity in future generations.
